
SunCrest Healthcare, Inc. was formed in November 2005 for the purpose of developing Medicare/Medicaid-certified home health agencies in the Southern United
States. The company is based in Nashville, Tenn. SunCrest’s operating philosophy focuses on developing effective partnerships with the local healthcare communities, especially the local hospital systems, in order to ensure that the local communities’ home health care needs are met in a caring, high quality, safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
While SunCrest is a young company, its management team consists of experienced home healthcare veterans with outstanding reputations for providing high quality, comprehensive and efficient services.

John W. (Wally) Dant, III
President & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Dant brings an extensive home care and hospital management background to SunCrest. Most recently, he was a
director with Navigant Consulting, a leading healthcare consulting firm. Prior to Navigant, Mr. Dant served as
senior vice president-operations for HCA’s home care operations at the time when HCA had
more than 400 home care locations generating over $1 billion in revenue. Mr. Dant also has an extensive background with hospital operations and managed care contracting, having worked for both hospital management and insurance companies. Mr. Dant holds a
bachelor's degree from Purdue University and a master's in business
administration from the University of Louisville.
Gary Rasmussen
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Rasmussen brings 30 years of financial management experience to SunCrest. He was formerly an audit partner with Ernst & Young before leaving in 1992 to pursue opportunities in the private sector. Since 1992, he has served as chief financial officer of several successful healthcare companies, including Surgical Health Corp., Central Health Services, Physicians Surgical Care and AccuMed
Home Health. Mr. Rasmussen has extensive experience in mergers
and acquisitions as well as equity and debt financings, both public
and private. Mr. Rasmussen holds a bachelor's in business
administration from the University of Georgia.
Brenda Dunn
Chief Clinical Officer
Ms. Dunn joined SunCrest in April 2007 as president of the company’s private duty business and
senior vice president of clinical services. In 2011, she was
promoted to her current role as chief clinical officer, where she
oversees all clinical aspects of SunCrest including compliance,
clinical integrity, accreditation, clinical and system training, and
performance and operational improvement. Prior to joining SunCrest,
Ms. Dunn spent 16 years in various positions, including president,
at CareAll, Inc., a home health and private duty company headquartered in Nashville. Prior to CareAll,
she was a senior executive with a regional-based nurse staffing company. Ms. Dunn is a
registered nurse and a graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Nursing.
